With Disney’s 50th Anniversary happening at Walt Disney World, you have probably made plans to get there and experience it or you just can’t make it this year. Either way, my friend Melissa from Melissa in the Magic, has an amazing DIY Disney’s Enchantment Fireworks Dessert Party at home for you to experience with your friends and family. So pull up a chair, and get ready for a simple and fun way to celebrate the Disney milestone.

How to have a Enchantment Fireworks Dessert Party

For those unfamiliar with the idea, a dessert party is exactly what it sounds like: a party where the main focus – or theme, if you prefer – is desserts, but with a Disney twist! It is modeled after the Dessert Party Disney offers at Magic Kingdom and you can add on to your Disney Vacation. If you looking to add this to your vacation, just ask you travel advisor or get started with one HERE.

If you like the idea and want to throw your own Disney’s Enchantment dessert party at home, my friend Melissa from Melissa in the Magic, has thrown her own party at home and has shared her how to’s with us! Let me share her party with you now!

Cheese

Watermelon, Cantelope, and Melon

Slice your melons into 1 inch thick slices and use the small mickey cookie cutter to cut Mickey shapes into your melon.

Pineapple Orange Guava Mimosas

Use the juice and champagne to create mimosas. The amount of each will depend on your taste, but usually, it’s 2/3 champagne to 1/3 juice. (or even less juice and more champagne!)

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Either buy chocolate-covered pre-made strawberries or make your own! Take your strawberries and chocolate wafers (or a premade chocolate dip specifically for this HERE

Dip your strawberries, lay them on a cookie sheet, and put in the freezer to set.

Once they are set, brush with gold dust for that added ‘fanciness’ to make the dessert party more fun!

Gold Dusted Cupcakes with Caramel Buttercream Frosting

Make your vanilla cupcakes from scratch, or box cake mix according to the directions of the recipe that you’re following.

This caramel frosting recipe from Two Sisters Crafting is the perfect recipe to top off your vanilla cupcakes. Get the recipe HERE.

Top your cake cupcakes with gold dust.

Tips for your Enchantment Dessert Party

When to have your dessert party

If you need time to prep for your party (cooking, baking, prepping, etc) consider having your fireworks party on a weekend. This allows you to have time to do all the things you need to prep.  For a little extra fun, create an e-vite and send them to your friends!

Where are you having your party?

Are you going all out and using a projector like Melissa or are you just going to watch it on your TV? It’s always more fun if you go out of the norm and take a little extra effort to make it more fun!

Also think about if you want to do this inside or outside? It can be super fun to have a dessert party outside and watch the fireworks in their natural environment, in the dark night sky!

Variety

A fireworks dessert party isn’t a dessert party without variety! Mix it up and make a few different styles of desserts to make your party more fun!

Mickey shaped anything is always a great idea!  The more variety the better!

Melissa used the Pineapple Orange Guava Drink for her kids drink and made mimosa’s with her for her adult beverages. Feel free to use sparkling grape juice or anything you want if you want to everyone to feel comfortable and welcome.

Have fun!

The fireworks show lasts for about 15 minutes, so just have fun with it! Make the dessert party a reason to just have some fun with your kids, friends, or family and share in the love of Disney together.
