How to Make a Non-Alcoholic Rainbow Drink To Impress Your Guests (and Kids!)
Doesn’t this Non-Alcoholic Rainbow Drink just scream fun?! My kids immediately wanted to dive into this drink when I made it. The best part? This drink is non-alcoholic and PERFECT for those rainbow birthday parties, unicorn birthday parties, or any theme in between that involves a rainbow.
I was thinking of a drink for a Trolls World Tour Movie Night and immediately knew I wanted to make a layered drink for this night, but knew not where to start.

How to Make A Non-Alcoholic Rainbow Drink
After a ton of research, I figured out how to create a layered drink, and it involves 1 simple tip and it involves science.
In order for each layer to float on top the next layer, it must be denser than that layer underneath it.
What does that mean? In basic terms, the bottom layer has the have the most amount of sugar in it, while the top layer should have the least amount or no sugar at all.
In order to make this drink you will need this recipe to make a syrup for the base layer of this drink. I was inspired by this recipe from Tastfully Frugal. Her recipe is for Snow Cone Syrup was perfect.
Combine 1 cup of sugar, with 1 cup of water and boil for 3 minutes. Once it boils, add in a packet of cherry or strawberry Kool-Aid.
**TIP: The Kool Aid MUST be red to work for this recipe.
I made the mistake of assuming the Strawberry Kiwi flavor was red based on Strawberry being in the name, and it turned out pink! So I had to make it again with Cherry. Just make sure the Kool-Aid is red!
