Disney Park Bag: Must-Haves Items for a Day At Disney

What is a Disney Park Bag?

A Disney Park bag is  any bag that you take with you to Disney World. The word ‘park bag” is a Disney slang word Disney people use for their specific bag they take to the parks.

I tend to carry a backpack but I am going to give you suggestions for different sized bags you may need to carry. I carry a medium amount of things with me, while others carry enough to survive for days. I’ll give you all my suggestions here!

If you are looking for other Disney tips, check out my Disney trips HERE.

What should I pack in my Disney Park Bag?

What you will pack is going to change depending on who is with you at Disney. If you are taking babies, toddlers, older kids, or taking an adult trip, it will all effect what you should bring!

PRO TIP: We left for Magic Kingdom one time and left our park bag at the resort! I told my hubby it wasn’t worth it go back for it and we only bought diapers from the baby care center located inside each park. Anything else we need we would buy as the day went along.  So don’t worry about forgetting anything, Disney has your back!

Disney Park Bags

For the Heavy Packer:

The Zomake backpack from Amazon is PERFECT for those needing to take a lot with them to Disney. This backpack:

– Folds up (perfect to pack in your luggage to bring with you!)

– Lightweight

– Waterproof

-Fits 30L of “stuff” (Perfect for all those snacks, diapers, wipes, and rain ponchos you will need)

If you're a Moderate Packer:

Loungefly’s are my GO TO Bag for a Disney Park day. Not only do they come in a variety of Disney prints, they are easy to carry! (Not to mention, Disney fashionable!)

Check out this Baby YodaCinderella Castle, or Princess Loungefly backpacks. There are SO many to choose from!

If you are a light packer:

Laugh all you want but Fanny Packs have made a come back, and especially when headed to the theme parks. These HIGHLY rated fanny packs from MAXTOP are great for park days when you have older kids or headed out for an adult only trip!

Must Have Items Everyone Should Pack in their Disney Park Bags

 Rain Ponchos

It rains almost every day in Disney, you don’t want to be caught with out ponchos or you will spend over $10 a piece on them at Disney (Believe me! I’ve learned from experience!) Grab these ones from Amazon: Adults and Kids

Sunscreen

No matter the time of year, you will need sunscreen in Florida. My go-to is Blue Lizard Sunscreen.

 Extra Face Masks

Disney still requires Face masks at all Indoor locations. Make sure you pack extras. Here are my favorite Disney ones for Adults and Kids. The kid’s ones above are SO soft. They’re the only ones my girls will wear.

Wet Wipes/Hand Sanitizer

If I’m taking my kids anywhere, you will usually find this on me at all times. This is a must for my park bag. Find them HERE on Amazon.

Portable Phone Charger

You use your phone for EVERYTHING in Disney. You will need this to charge your phone throughout the day. After using Disney Genie, Mobile ordering, and all the pictures and videos you will take, you will NEED this every day. The INIU charger is my favorite! It can charge 2 phones at once! Get it HERE on Amazon.

Snacks/Gum

Snacks are ALWAYS a suggestion if you are traveling with young kids. Snacks are expensive at Disney. Plus they always seem to get hungry when you’re standing in line. And Disney doesn’t sell gum. So if you are a gum chewer you will need to bring your own.

Band-Aids and Blister Pads

I always pack Band-Aids. Disney is a lot of walking and someone always gets a boo-boo or a blister. I think I’ve needed one every trip!

Neck Fan

Believe it or not, these things made a HUGE difference! One hot day in the Florida sun and you will be thanking me I recommended these. Get them HERE from Amazon

.

If you are Traveling with Young Kids

Costumes/Ears

My girls love to dress up at the parks, so make sure you leave room to pack those costumes in there.

If you are headed to the parks with little girls, then you HAVE to get them a Princess dress in advance from Joy Costumes! They are the BEST dresses. So fancy and comfortable! Your little Princesses will be able to wear it all day long. (Mine does!  When she puts it on I can’t convince her to take it off!) Get 20% off with code mommysmoviemagic20

Coloring Books/Small Toys

I always need something to keep my kid’s busy while in line or waiting for dinner to arrive. Grab these Grab-n go coloring books from Target’s Dollar Section or Dollar Tree. You can also order them HERE on Amazon.

Glow Items/Bubble Wands

Glowing, spinning, and bubble wands are very appealing to kids at Disney! Make sure you grab yours for cheaper before you go so you’re not stuck paying $20 for a glow stick!

I’ve had luck at Walgreens for the glowing spinning toys, and Dollar Tree for those fun glow sticks!

If you are Traveling with Babies:

  • Diapers/Wipes
  • Bottles and Formula
  • Baby Food
  • Pacifier
  • Sun Hat
  • Change of clothes
  • Ziploc Bags
  • Baby stroller fans

OTHER PARK ITEMS I LIKE TO BRING:

Magic Bands

If you haven’t already ordered yours through your My Disney Experience App, I suggest you do that. These are optional but I definitely recommend them!
Magic Bands are a fun way to experience Disney. You won’t need to pull out your Disney Park Pass every time you want to get on a ride, buy food, or merchandise. Your Magic Band does all that for you! You can see them all HERE on ShopDisney.com

Disney Parks T-Shirts

I love wearing Disney T-shirts to the parks! My absolute favorite is from Castle Outfitter. There are multiple options and you can choose tank tops, t-shirts, and long sleeve options! You can also get 10% off with my special code Bethany10. Check them out HERE.

Strollers

Sounds weird but I don’t ever bring a stroller. We rent one! I don’t enjoy dragging a stroller through the airport and onto the bus and more.

This company, Kingdom Strollers, will deliver your stroller right to your resort and then pick it up from you on your last day there. It’s seriously the best! Plus it comes with a stroller cover, cooler, and more!

It’s very affordable too. Totally worth it in my opinion to not have to drag mine through the airport and onto the plane.

Last Notes on what to pack in your Disney Park Bag

In the end, make sure to pack items in your bag you need and don’t want to buy. I don’t want you getting caught in the rain buying $10 ponchos like we did…
