Luca Party Candy Charcuterie Board

It’s not easy to plan new party foods for your next event, but that’s the beauty of this board! You can mix and match, omit whatever candy you want, include whatever you want, and create this board whatever way you want! And guaranteed it will be unique to your Luca Birthday Party, Party, or Movie Night!

How to Know What Size Board To Make

It depends on the party size! This size I made for this movie night was good for about 8 people, it was a good size and more for our movie night we used it on! (Not everyone will eat all of the candy on here!) I used a normal 10.5 in dinner plate.

If you are looking to create this for a bigger party, I suggest either creating multiple trays of this size or finding a bigger platter than a normal dinner plate. If you want to use a bigger platter, I suggest this one from Amazon! It’s 19.5″x11.5″ so it’s plenty big enough to create a party-sized candy charcuterie board!

Luca Party Candy Charcuterie Board Candies

You can create and candy board for almost ANYTHING you want! You just have to find candies that fit that theme. Below are the candies that I planned out and found at my local candy store, and are also available on Amazon to help you create a Luca-themed Candy board!

  • Shimmer Powdered Blue Sixlets, here
  • Blue Sixlets, here
  • Blue M&M’s, here
  • Blue Chocolate Balls, here
  • Turquoise Gumballs, here
  • Mini Gummy Noodles (only use the yellow ones), here
  • Gold Star Chocolate Candies, here
  • Marshmallow Ice Cream Cones, here
  • Octopus Sour Gummies, here
  • Gummy Fish (like these Tropical Swedish fish) here

We topped ours with an Alberto figure that we got from McDonald’s and it was perfect! If you do not have one, consider printing out a picture of any character and cutting it to place in the middle.

Or even print a few small ones, glue them to toothpicks, and stick them all around the board for added fun!

How to Make a Luca Party Candy Charcuterie Board

It’s fairly simple, but I’ll break it down into the few steps that I followed.

  1. Place your smaller containers on your platter first. It makes it easier than trying to make room for them later.
  2. Spread all your Sixlets and M&Ms out on your board (usually ends up being 2-3 colors and mixes of blues). It is easier to start with the smaller candies and fill them in as needed.
  3. Fill your containers with your desired candies. I filled one of mine with the pasta noodle candies and the other with the giant gumballs.
  4. Start placing all your other candies in clumps around the board. I started with a few stars on one side, placed a few octopuses in another section, and keep at this until all your desired candy is on the board. You can clump them or even spread them out on top of your board as you see fit! There are no rules!
  5. Go back and fill in empty spaces with more of the smaller candies or more of a bigger candy as you need until the board looks nice and full!
