Tangled Movie Night Party – Rapunzel Party Ideas

When asked what your favorite Disney Princess is, who would you say? If it was my oldest daughter, the answer would be Rapunzel! If you’re favorite Disney Princess is Rapunzel, you will love this Tangled movie night too!

Tangled Movie Night Menu

It didn’t take long to be to decide on the perfect movie night menu for this movie night! We ended up going with Angel Hair pasta (obviously because they are yellow and hair-shaped for Rapunzel!), braided breadsticks, paintbrush Rice Krispies, and a very purple drink for our sweet Disney Princess herself! Let’s get into the recipes.

Angel Hair Pasta – Tangled Movie Night Dinner

This seemed like the best dinner for Rapunzel! Angel hair pasta is:

1. Yellow (like Rapunzel’s hair)

2. Shaped like hair

3. The NAME is Angel Hair

So all I did was pick up a box of angel hair pasta from the grocery store and cook it up.

At this point, grab yourself your favorite pasta sauce at the store too, and call it a day!

For my recipe, I used a recipe a homemade marinara recipe that I used for my Lady and the Tramp Movie Night too!

You can read more about my Lady and Tramp Movie Night here!

I included the recipe for my marinara sauce in my video above as a printable version below! Check it out if you want to make some homemade as I did!

Braided Breadsticks – Tangled Movie Night Side Dish

Want an easy side dish?

Grab some refrigerated crescent rolls. Unroll them and smush together the seams until it is 4 rectangles.

Use a pizza cutter or a knife and cut each rectangle into 6 long strips like the photo above.

Once the strips are cut, take 3 of the strips and smoosh the tops of them together. Then start braiding them until you get all the way down to the bottom.

Continue that until all of the long pieces are braided.

Bake at 375 for 10-14 minutes until golden brown.

Rice Krispie Paint Brushes – Tangled Movie Night Dessert

Talk about an easy delicious treat? Then your choice is a Rice Krispie Treat dessert! It’s quick it’s easy and everyone loves it. So let’s talk about how to make these!

The original recipe that I followed is from Sally’s Baking Addiction – Rice Krispie Treats.

All you’ll need for these are:

  • Bag of Mini Marshmallows
  • Rice Krispies Cereal
  • Salt
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Large Popsicle sticks
  • Candy melts (any color but we chose pink for this movie night)

Now that you have all of your ingredients, it’s time to get started!

Don’t blink because these recipe instructions could not get easier.

Melt your butter in a medium saucepan. Add your bag of mini marshmallows and mix until all marshmallows are melted. Turn off your heat and add in the salt, vanilla extract, and mix until the marshmallows are covered. Mix in your Rice Krispies and mix until all your rice Krispies are covered with your marshmallows. Spread them out in a 13×9 pan and flatten. Let your rice Krispies set for 1 hour and then cut them into rectangles.

Once your rectangles are cut, place your large popsicle sticks in the bottom of your rectangles.

Take your candy melts and place them in a microwaveable bowl. Place in the microwave and melt for 1 minute. Them out and stir. If not fully melted, place back in the microwave for 15 seconds at a time, taking it out and stirring each time.

Once fully melted, take your rectangle on a stick and dip it in the chocolate until the bottom 1/3 of the rectangle is covered in chocolate. Don’t try to make it perfect, because a paintbrush covered in paint, is never clean and pretty. It’s ok if it looks a little messy.

Lay them on wax paper or an oil sprayed surface to dry and set.

You can store these in an airtight container for up to a week and they will still be good.

Rapunzel Sun Drink – Tangled Movie Night Drink

This sun drink tasted as bright as it looked! And it was simple and tasted different than anything I’ve had before.

I battled between trying to make a drink that was purple like Rapunzel but I ended up going with something matching her sun instead!

For this drink you will need:

  • Lemonade
  • Pineapple Juice
  • Frozen Orange Juice Concentrate

  1. Fill your glass half way with lemonade.
  2. Pour the rest of the glass up with Pineapple Juice.
  3. Take a table spoon of frozen orange juice concentrate and mix it into your drink.
  4. Enjoy!
